Q: What is Oxygen Water?
A: It is the trade name of our water vending machines’ filtered water and is produced with 6 stages of filtration: 5 micron PP, 1 micron PP, anti-bac carbon, oxygen agent, 5 micron PP, and H2O energizer.

Q: How much oxygen does Oxygen Water contain?
A: 4 to 6ppm as compared to 0ppm for normal filtered water.

Q: How does Oxygen Water differ from conventional vending machines’ water?
A: The taste is smooth and delicious, the most significant different is the maintenance cost, which is only about 5% of income collection as compared to 15% for others.

Q: How does Oxygen Water benefit health and can it cure diseases?
A: Clean water acts as a medium to transport nutrients and detoxify living cells. Smart does not claim water can cure diseases.

Q: How safe is Oxygen Water?
A: Water analysis report by SAMM certified laboratory shows that it complies with W.H.O (world health organization) standard, moreover Smart is insured RM 1 million for public liability.

Customers’ Expectations
Q: Who are our target customers?
A: Anyone who cannot afford or do not want to buy a water filter. For example lower income folks, students, bachelors, foreign workers, and etc.

Q: What are the basic business strategies?
A: First the convenience of the location, water selling price, machine cleanliness, and water quality.

Location
Q: Where are the best locations for the business?
A: Places where our target customers live, for example high density-low income residential area, school hostels, and high human traffic area.

Q: What is the arrangement with the premises owner to install our machines at their place?
A: It can be either on a fixed amount or revenue sharing basis. For fixed amount it ranges from RM 80 to RM 150 per month, while for revenue sharing ranging from 20% to 30%, based on the coin meter reading.

Maintenance
Q: How long can the machine last?
A: Estimated at 10 to 20 years under proper protection and maintenance.

Q: How often do I need to change the filters?
A: Please refer to the Filter Replacement Table, it runs accordingly to the coin meter (resembles car odometer concept).

Q: I do not know how to service the machine.
A: It is so simple that most people can master in 15 minutes otherwise you can let us do the job with a reasonable fee.

Q: Are the spare parts expensive?
A: Please refer to the price list. All non consumable spare parts come with 12 months warranty and all of them in the event of break down can be repair with a reasonable price.

Licensing
Q: Do I need to apply any license from the authorities?
A: You need to apply from the city council only if your machine is installed at a shop front and occupied a foot space, with a fee of about RM 50 per year.

Investment
Q: How is the investment of Smart machines compared to the competitors?
A: Smart is the only company in Malaysia manufactures and markets water vending machine, our price is therefore the lowest. If our customer can produce the proof of purchase of a similar product with lower price, we will pay the difference.

Income
Q: How much can a machine collect every month?
A: Strictly depending on the locations and other factors, please refer to the Profit Projection Table. Currently Smart Machines’ net collection range from RM 50 to RM 4,500 per month.

Risks And Challenges
Q: What are the risks and challenges of Smart Vending Business and how to over come them?
A: #1= Competition. To overcome it you need to gain exclusivity of your territory.
#2 = Breaks in. Avoid installing your machines in high risk areas or let the premises owner to collect the coins everyday.

Q: Can I sell my machines if one day I decided to quit?
A: Smart acts as a middle man and will find a buyer for you. After all an average Smart investor owns 5 machines and they are always looking for a good bargain to own more.
